I don’t know if any of you guys have played any games of the Hitman series. I’ve played a couple but really never got into like I do with other franchise games. However, I did get Hitman Absolution for Christmas and I just opened it up earlier this week. With previous games of Hitman, I would play a few missions, then get bored with it, and finally give up on the game. I just didn’t know what the storyline was about or what I was really doing.
With Absolution, the game is a little more guided and has an established storyline. After three missions or so, I really enjoy it. The graphics and presentation look great. The cut scenes themselves look pretty amazing to me. The controls are very easy to learn. The game play is about being in disguise and being stealthy. So if you’re a run and gun type player, then this is not for you. If you want to give a slower-paced, take-your-time game, then you should try this one out. The more you are “made”, the less points earn, this is how the point system works. I try to subdue enemies like law officers or anyone working for public or servants. If you subdue them, you earn points. Then you can use their outfits as disguises. You can kill the “bad” guys, but if you time it wrong, they can call for backup by yelling and you don’t want that.
Depending on your target, there are several ways to assassinate a target. If you complete a mission in one way, you have the option to replay the mission in a different way and hopefully earn better points.
Absolution is on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 and I think it’s been price dropped for a while now. So you won’t hurt your wallet if you get it for $30 and under.
