Chat Feature

Hey you guys tried the chat feature on this board? I'm in it right now.

If you look at the boards links at the top then far right, you'll see CHAT. You'll need to install the latest Java.

blah, I mostly use my work laptop and given applications used for work that require java, I'm hesitant to install the latest without knowing first hand if applications I use will continue to function.
