Alright, so I pre-ordered Resistance and paid in full at Best Buy last month. So I worked all day knowing that my game will be behind the counter ready for pick-up. Well, when I got there, it wasnt.
So I told the girl I will get a copy from the floor since I'm going to purchase a headset for my PS3. So I return to the counter and she asks if I'm going to purchase the headset. I reply yes.
Then for some reason, she typing like crazy on her register. I'm just wondering why it's taking so long for me just to take my game and make a purchase. The game purchase is paid in full, so I should pick up and go. And the headset I was picking up was dropped from 59.99 to 34.99.
So I'm waiting and she finally tells that she did a refund of the game purchase. I wonder why, but who cares. Anyways, after some calculations and adds the headset cost, she tells me that I owe so much for the game. WAIT WHAT!? I told her that the game is paid in full at the time of pre-order. I show her my original receipt and she said, "oh sorry, you're right."
So she does another calculation and all that crazy typing. When finally done with all the typing, she tells me I owe 19.99. Hmmmm...didnt seem right because I already made calculations myself and it was going to be $4 and change becaue I had $30 in Best Buy gift cards to pay for the headset.
So I let her complete the transaction.
Well turns out she screwed over Best Buy herself. She actually saved me $15. How's that you ask?
Well the game was paid in full as mentioned before. I was going to purchase a 34.99 headset. For the headset, I have $30 in gift cards, so I owe Best Buy 4.99 plus tax.
So whatever she did when I told her that the game was paid in full, she actually helped me out.
She should have never made the refund in the first place.
Oh well for them and I have what I want. Thanks Best Buy!
This is the second time I came out on top with gaming items. When Castlevania came out, i preordered the standard edition and when I picked it up at the same BB, they handed me the Limited Edition.
