Well looks like a few of us took advantage of the 50% off sale at EA Origins and purchased NHL 12. I havent played a NHL game since Blades of Steel from I think the NES or SNES days. So yeah, it's been a long time.
I'm ready to have some fun with some hockey.

Customer Service sucks at EA, took me forever to find out where to inquiry about my order. I was billed and received an email confirmation, but it does not reflect in my Order History at EA.

Mine was the same thing, I didnt see it in the Order History, but did get email and all.

After contacting EA....I get this " I have checked your order and I found that we have not received the payment hence the order is not yet completed. Please contact your bank/financial institute to know more about the reasons for this."
Interesting that the charge clearly reflects on my debit card.

When I was googling EA's support number, I found tons and tons of complaints. I never had to call them for anything until now. I see how people are upset with them. I need to find out more info on my order.

So I contacted Support in hoping I get a different agent, which I did. My order is still "In Processing" mode. He told me it will take some time to complete. They still havent charged my card yet, so I'm not too worried. He even gave me the amount I paid for the game, which tells me he did pull up the order.

LMAO, this is becoming comical. With the case I submitted via their help system, you get an email of EA's response, as well as, the online case being updated.
After their note yesterday regarding non-receipt of payment, I took a screen capture of the charge showing up on my account, went to online case and used their feature to attach a copy.
Today, I receive another response saying "unfortunately, we are not able to receive attachments via email response. You must go to your case online and use the attach file feature. To do this, click the browse button and locate the file on your hard drive."

I'm on chat with EA again and this is what I'm getting right now. ********************** Gonzalo, I checked your issue with our Supervisor. Please provide us your contact number so that we can provide you further information. We found that the Orders for 25th and 26th May are having these issues of pending Payment. Let me forward your issue to our higher ups so that they can review your Order and inform you accordingly.

After giving them my phone number, here's their last response.

They were trying to tell me that EA was waiting for funds to go through because I paid by wire transfer or electronic check. I told them they are wrong. I paid with a regular master card credit card. Ask them how hard is it to complete a transaction with a credit card which is used every single day. That is when he supposedly spoke with his supervisor and give me the above message about the issues they had on orders on the 25th and 26th.

Similar response after I replied to their last message. I told them, I attached the file as per their guidelines and did not send it via email. They responded with "please wait an additional 48 hrs. if you do not receive a shipping confirmation, please contact us again."

I'm canceling the order with EA and just purchased a copy off of eBay for $39. It's a few bucks more than EA but at least they'll complete the transaction faster.

I'm not happy that a simle credit card transaction cant be complete within 24-48 hours and shipped out within 72 hours after purchase. He provided the number, but I've used that before and all it does is loops me through the menus and then finally hangs up. I guess I'll wait to see if I get charged and game sent. If so, then I'll just sell it on half.com or ebay at what I bought it for. If not there, then on CL. I probably can send it back, but I'm thinking that will take twice as long as ordering it. I went ahead and ordered it from eBay and I'm sure that will be shipped by tomorrow.

Well after all the bitching I did at EA was for nothing or maybe double something. As I'm here at work sitting around, I get a call from the front desk. She tells me I have two boxes. Two boxes? I was expecting only one.
So I head over and yup, there was two boxes.
So I take them back to my office and I open the little one. Turns out, thats the NHL game I ordered that I was complaining about. Now this is after I ordered a copy from eBay.
So why the hell does EA tell me that they are on back order. They also keep telling me that my order is in "IN PENDING" status? I dont know and I dont care. I have it now. So now what to do with the 2nd copy that will arrive next week?
I guess I'll offer it to my buddy Lush. Hey Lush, you want it? It'll be cheaper than what the stores are priced at. Let me know.

round and round we go. I've asked 3 times to have this order completely cancelled. I'm more willing to go into Game Stop or Best Buy and pay full price than deal with EA directly. Each request to cancel is met with "please be patient while we escalate your issue to higher level customer support."
