So anyone planning to get the PS4 when it releases, probably in the next two years?
I'm not planning to get it. Before having my current PS3, I waited a long while before getting one. I bought one and purchased some great games, then I sold it.
Then I purchased another one, which is the one I have now, and so far I've kept it. Kept it mainly because I have more friends on it than I did when I had the first PS3.
So am I getting the PS4? Not at all. The current one still serves it's purpose.

depends on the price point. I purchased a PS3 the week it was released, now I'm on my second one after the original finally burnt out.

This is my second PS3 as the first one died about 18 months ago. Have thought about getting another one as I have a 55 inch Samsung led in the living room and a 46 inch Sony in the master. Idea being that my wife likes to play Borderlands coop with me but we get tiredof the split screen so we could both go online and have our own screen.I would probably buy a PS4 but would not be thrilled if it was not backward comparable with PS3 games.

DMax, dont know what TV your playing on right now with your PS3, but I had an issue with my PS3 and 55" LEDTV. Before I purchased my LEDTV, I had a 46" Sharp LCD. I played many games on it and and I've alwayed played great, especially on shooters. Now that I upgraded the TV to a LEDTV and hooked up my PS3, I literally played like a noob. I was not able to aim for crap. For some reason, when I try to aim, I would go too far to the right or left. Then I moved my PS3 to my computer room where I have a 27" LCD TV. My shooting skills went back to normal. I tried again on the LEDTV, I played like crap. I changed my LEDTV settings to turn on Game Mode. Suppose to help on the video latency, but it didnt for me. So now I keep the PS3 on the 27" TV. However, when I play shooters on the LEDTV with the Xbox, I have no issues at all. Who knows what the deal is. This would be my second PS3. I bought one and then sold it a while back. Then my Dad bought one for the blu-ray player and it crapped out on him. I asked if I can have it and when I was going to place a repair order with Sony, then had a trade-on offer. For $150, I was able to trade in my 80GB phat PS3 for a 160GB Slim. So thats the one I own now.

Playing on Samsung 55" LED with the 250 gig slim PS3. Interesting what you said but I have played other games without anything out of the norm. Don't want to really play in other room on my Sony as I like my home theater set up in my living room. Maybe I am just that shitty of a shot lol. Seems as though I am much better in real life thank goodness

One thing I do wonder about though is my internet connection. Have had the ISP provider out on a couple of occasions as I was having service interruptions but supposedly their was no problem. Even had router checked out and all seems good. I would probably due better with wired headset instead of bluetooth.
